The conference venue, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre [BCEC], corner of Merivale & Glenelg Streets, South Bank, is conveniently located a short walk (~5 minutes) from South Brisbane Train Station and the Cultural Centre Busway Station.

By Train

The Airtrain runs to/from Brisbane Domestic and International Airports, with travel time of just 25 minutes to South Brisbane Station. A one-way single adult ticket costs AUD $16.50. The Airtrain has plenty of space for luggage with lifts & escalators available at airport stations.

If you are intending to use public transport further during your visit, we recommend you purchase a go card.

A taxi rank is located on the front terminal road at the Domestic Terminal, and on the Arrivals Level 2 at the International Terminal. Fares vary due to distance, traffic conditions and time, however, you can anticipate that a fare to Brisbane’s CBD from Brisbane Airport will total approximately AUD50.00.

Brisbane City Council go card for Visitors:

go card provides travel across the entire Brisbane network of buses, trains, ferries and trams. go card is at least 30 per cent cheaper than the cost of a single paper ticket. Buy your go card at fare machines at any bus, ferry and train stations, or at newsagents and 7-Eleven stores, or online.
